Day 12 - The Nativity Story told by Ladybird Class

Nativity 2020

Mary was cleaning her house when an angel appeared. The angel told Mary that she was going to have a baby and she should call the baby Jesus, he would be the son of God.
Mary told her husband, Joseph, about the news.  Sometime later Mary and Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem, everyone had to return to the place they were born to be counted for their taxes.  Mary and Joseph set off on the long journey, it was nearly time for the baby to be born.
When they got to Bethlehem the town was full.  Mary and Joseph asked inn keeper after inn keeper, but there wasn't any room for them.
At last they found an inn keeper who looked kindly upon them and offered his stable.  He told them it was warm and dry.
Soon after they arrived in the stable the baby was born.  Mary and Joseph named him Jesus.
Knowing the baby had been born the angels went to tell of the good news.  They went to see the shepherds tending their sheep in the hills.
Far off in the east three kings saw a wonderful new star in the sky, they felt that something important had happened.  It was the birth of the new King.  Gathering presents of frankincense, myrrh and gold they travelled to find the baby.

When the kings arrived at the stable where Jesus had been born it was full of people, they had come to worship the new King, Jesus.
