Week ending 10 January 2020

During JANUARY we are focusing on the core value of HAPPINESS

Happy New Year! It is lovely to see the children well rested and ready for the term ahead. We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas. We are looking forward to the many opportunities the term has to offer and continuing to see the children thrive and enjoy their learning. Many thanks for all your support during the past term. Any school works best when families and staff work in partnership and these relationships are truly valued.

Class 3 trip to the Living Rainforest
On the 11th December, Class 3 went to The Living Rainforest near Newbury. As we arrived we were greeted by the kind staff who told us where to put our bags. Once the teachers had separated us into our groups, the tour guide took one group and the other group looked around the glasshouses with an activity sheet for 45 minutes. After that we swapped activities.
We saw some amazing animals such as poisoned dart frogs which were a beautiful shade of blue, the bright green emerald tree boa, an armadillo called Harry, some HUGE stick insects, a toucan and a carpet python. We learned about how these animals have adapted to live in the rainforest. There was also supposed to be a sloth called Cinnamon but NO-ONE saw it!!
