The Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary Assembly

Last week, our school had the pleasure of welcoming special visitors Iain and Caroline from OAS to speak during Wednesday’s assembly. Their visit was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to learn more about the important work being done at the sanctuary and how communities can come together to support animals and the environment.

During the assembly, Iain and Caroline shared insights into the sanctuary’s work, explaining how they care for animals and protect wildlife. The children were fascinated to hear about the different animals at the sanctuary and the dedication involved in looking after them. It was a wonderful chance for pupils to ask questions, learn something new, and think about how we can all play a role in caring for the world around us.

This visit marks the beginning of what we hope will be a strong and meaningful partnership with OAS. As a school, we are excited to explore ways of building closer links with the sanctuary, including creating new learning opportunities that connect with our curriculum. These experiences could help bring classroom learning to life and inspire our pupils through real-world examples.

We would like to thank Iain and Caroline for taking the time to visit us and for delivering such an engaging and informative assembly.

Watch this space for more updates as our partnership with OAS develops! 🌿
