At Stadhampton Primary School, writing is taught to develop children’s ability to communicate effectively, express themselves creatively, and engage with a wide range of audiences and purposes. We ensure all children acquire strong transcription skills, including spelling, handwriting, and grammar, alongside the ability to plan, draft, revise, and edit their work. Writing is taught through a carefully sequenced curriculum that combines modelled examples, guided practice, and independent writing across a variety of genres and subjects.
